1.3 experience

Even if MOYO has been recently created, its members have participated in a large number of educational activities related to GO. Many of them have been done through the AEGO or the go club la pedra. Some highlights are:

• april 2002: participation at the international symposium Board Games in Academia, with assistance of Yuki Shigeno 2-dan. The talk was about the therapeutical and educational applications of GO.
• april 2002: organization of the visit of Yuki Shigeno 2-dan by several Catalan educational centres (IES Francesc Martí Carreras de Palafrugell, CEIP Sant Gregori, CEIP Enric Cassassas and CEIP Ribatallada of Sabadell|), as well with some simultaneous games at the recently created go club of the Mathematics and Statistics Faculty of the UPC.
• february 2002: organization of the 1st Catalonia school go championship, where more than 40 children and teenagers took part.
• october 2001: Teachers training session, at the Horta-Guinardó CRP. Activity offered by the pel CRP.
• 1999-2002: regular GO lessons at the Universitat de Barcelona, in a complementary course.
• june 2000: participation at the 1st international GO symposium, in Sendai (Japan).
• 1995-2002: regular GO after school at school Sant Gregori of Sabadell
• february 2002: participation at the European Youth championship in Praha (Czequia)
• february 1998: participation at the European Youth championship in Cannes (France)
• 2000-2002: regular GO lessons at school Enric Cassassas of Sabadell
• november 2001: participation at the symposium esport i immigració, run by the INEFC (institut nacional d'educació física, UB) and the IMEB (institut municipal d'educació de Barcelona)
